The elegant cardboard display recently launched by Klorane and POP Solutions shows that eco-friendly POS materials are perfectly at home in pharmacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Since January 2021, Klorane<\/strong><\/a>, a natural and eco-designed dermo-cosmetic brand, has been reviewing its entire product range to ensure that it fulfils all consumer expectations in terms of cleaner formulas and environmentally friendly packaging,” says Marie Del Col, Product Manager for the brand at Laboratoires Pierre Fabre. “We also favour organic farming and make sure that the cultivation of our active plant ingredients in no way impacts the renewal of the plants.” So ‘natural’ and ‘environmental responsibility’ were the keywords when it came to creating POS materials to promote Klorane products in pharmacies and parapharmacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These values are also shared by POP Solutions, which has just been rated silver by EcoVadis<\/strong><\/a> for its CSR initiatives \u2013 making Klorane and POP natural partners. Among other things, cooperation between the two led to the production of a bowl-shaped display made of 100% FSC-certified cardboard.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A green display in line with the brand’s DNA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“Transparent plastic would obviously have made it easier for our coloured shower gels to stand out,” admits Marie. “But that material didn’t fit with our DNA and we wanted a greener solution, so POP suggested going for 100% recycled and recyclable solid cardboard, which is very sturdy, and raising and angling the base of the display so that the bottles are more visible when the bowl is full.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using cardboard also ensured that the POS material was better suited to its lifespan in pharmacies and resulted in less waste during production. “This is yet another thing we like about POP Solutions,” continues the Product Manager. “Oph\u00e9lie, who is in charge of our account at POP, is very familiar with all our brands, which meant that she could suggest using the same sheet of cardboard to produce displays for different brands. This both minimised waste and cut the unit cost of our displays. And that’s a real plus.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Promoting local POS partners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Laboratories Pierre Fabre sets great store by supporting local development. “It’s important for us to work with local suppliers who are on the same wavelength in terms of social responsibility,” adds Marie. “POP makes most of our displays on its site. We appreciate this one-stop-shop approach. It saves us a lot of time, and because our stock is located two kilometres from POP’s facilities, the process is even faster! We enjoy real peace of mind.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
