As well as the directive requiring the measurement of the environmental footprint of products (<a href=\"https:\/\/green-business.ec.europa.eu\/environmental-footprint-methods_en\"><strong>EFP<\/strong><\/a>), says Thierry Pauwels, Sustainability Manager at POP Solutions. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years, POP has committed to working in line with the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/\">17&nbsp;Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations for 2030<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is POP reinforcing and fulfilling its CSR commitments?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are just some of the initiatives taken since 2021:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Using FSC-certified plants and cardboard<\/li><li>Conducting risk and prevention analyses<\/li><li>Ensuring continuous protection at work<\/li><li>Using 100% green energy, increasingly generated locally<\/li><li>Low-energy buildings<\/li><li>Designing and producing furniture in recycled and\/or low-carbon alternative multi-materials<\/li><li>Opting for committed and certified local suppliers<\/li><li>Focusing on eco-design<\/li><li>Improving our waste management<\/li><li>Increasing the useful life of our products<\/li><li>Reducing our CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions for transport<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By making all these commitments, POP has consolidated its position among the top 2% of the 700&nbsp;companies worldwide assessed by EcoVadis in the Furniture manufacturing sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A responsible future, including for customers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>POP Solutions is aiming to provide its customers with POS solutions that have the smallest possible carbon footprint through dialogue and integrated co-creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab This gold medal for POP is good news not only for the planet but also for the Group&#8217;s customers. With initiatives like this, we&#8217;re making it possible for them to objectively opt for more environmentally friendly alternatives, \u00bb he adds. On the supplier side, we are also working on drafting a CSR charter to which we ask them to adhere.
