POP Solutions obtains SBTi validation for its 2035 climate targets

Key takeaways
• POP Solutions submitted its greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets to the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative), which validated them in June 2026.
• The commitment includes a 67.2% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035, compared with 2019, as well as a commitment to measure and reduce scope 3 emissions.
• This pathway has been validated by the SBTi as being consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

POP Solutions has obtained SBTi validation of its emissions reduction targets at the “near-term” level. This validation confirms that our scope 1 and 2 reduction targets are consistent with a pathway aimed at limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

As a POS display manufacturer, we have a tangible role to play in decarbonising your value chain. The validation of our targets by the SBTi strengthens the credibility of our approach, with a measurable and verifiable emissions reduction pathway.

What is the SBTi?

The SBTi is an international organisation that assesses companies’ climate targets against the goals of the Paris Agreement. In practice, companies submit their emissions reduction targets, which are reviewed and validated by independent assessors.

What the SBTi has validated

POP Solutions commits to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1 and 2) by 67.2% by 2035, compared with 2019, and to measuring and reducing its scope 3 emissions.

To understand the exact scope of this commitment, it is worth clarifying a few terms:

  • Scope 1 covers emissions that a company generates directly (buildings, energy consumption by machinery, etc.).
  • Scope 2 covers emissions indirectly associated with the energy consumed by the company (electricity, heating).
  • Scope 3 covers all other indirect emissions associated with the company, namely those generated across its entire value chain, both upstream and downstream: raw materials, transport and end-of-life treatment of products.

An advantage for your projects

By choosing a POS display supplier that manages its emissions within a recognised framework, you benefit from:

  • Commitments monitored over time: SBTi validation does not end once a target has been defined. Our emissions and progress are monitored annually, ensuring a measurable and transparent long-term pathway.
  • A supplier that contributes to your own climate targets: you strengthen your responsible procurement approach while reducing emissions across your value chain.
  • Data to support your reporting (CSRD): you gain greater visibility into the climate impact of your supply chain and can monitor your own decarbonisation targets more easily.

A pathway that forms part of a broader approach

This SBTi validation complements the EcoVadis Gold medal that POP Solutions has held since 2022. While EcoVadis assesses overall CSR performance (environment, human rights, ethics and responsible procurement), the SBTi focuses specifically on the CO₂ emissions reduction pathway and its alignment with science-based climate scenarios.

Both approaches, however, are underpinned by the same actions we have been taking for several years: photovoltaic panels, eco-designed materials (FSC-certified cardboard, PEFC-certified wood, recycled plastics), an electric vehicle fleet, a CSR charter shared with suppliers, and more.
